Our Core Volunteers
Since 2014, the League has used our Core Volunteer Program to recognize our most dedicated volunteers — those individuals who have given at least 15 hours over the course of one year volunteering with the League. Active Core Volunteers continue to work at two or more events each year after being welcomed into the program. Some have given more than 300 hours of their time and effort to protect Lake Tahoe.Collectively, our core volunteers have spent over 7,000 hours helping to Keep Tahoe Blue. We are proud to highlight our core volunteers and share their outstanding work.

Carolyn Usinger You may have seen our Core Volunteer, Carolyn Usinger, picking up litter on the North Shore at some point this year. She’s dedicated over 200 hours to litter cleanups in 2020. In that time, she conducted 125 of her own Tahoe Blue Crew cleanups, collected nearly 1,000 pounds of trash and over 14,000 plastic pieces! Even if you didn’t see Carolyn in action, you surely enjoyed a cleaner Lake Tahoe environment because of her passionate work. Both the League and the Lake appreciate your hard work, Carolyn. |
