The League has been instrumental in many of Tahoe's environmental success stories, including the TRPA, the Lake Tahoe Restoration Act and the Environmental Improvement Program. As a result, the decline in deep-water lake clarity has slowed, but the lake continues to face many challenges, including urbanization and traffic congestion, ozone violations, invasive species, climate change, and dramatic degradation along the lake's shoreline.
